On 29 October 2026, the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) announced that its new main tax business system would start operating in the Giza First Merged tax region and the nine tax offices that report to it from Monday 2 November 2026, as a further step in the automation of tax work.

The rollout covers the merged tax offices of Giza First, 6th of October, Al-Haram, Agouza and Mohandessin, Faisal, Boulaq El Dakrour, Dokki, Imbaba First and Imbaba Second.

According to the ETA, the system automates procedures and integrates data, reducing the time and effort needed to complete transactions. The rollout follows the Minister of Finance's directives to accelerate digital transformation and simplify procedures for taxpayers, and the system is being extended to tax regions and offices under a gradual plan.

The ETA invites taxpayers to follow its online awareness seminars, which explain the new system, the registration steps and how to use it, and to contact its integrated call centre on hotline 16395 for enquiries and guidance.
